Background Information

I began my career in public accounting in 1978 at a large regional firm in Oshawa. As a partner in the firm until 1993, it was at this time I went into business for myself.

Prior to that, I graduated from the University of Waterloo Chartered Accounting Program.   

Over the years I have been involved on a volunteer basis with various non-profit organizations including:

• Durham Children’s Aid Society Board of Directors and Treasurer 1997 to current
  
• The Community Foundation of Durham Region Board of Directors and Treasurer - 1994 to 2000
  
• Kinsmen Club of Oshawa 1982 to present, Treasurer 1994 to 1996
  
• United Way Allocation Committee 1992 & 1992
  
• St. Matthew’s Anglican Church Advisory Boadr Member and Treasurer 1983 to 1991
